To help keep the programme on schedule, speakers are kindly asked to finish their presentations within the allocated presentation time. Session chairs will provide time reminders during the presentation.
Slide Upload and Presentation Computers
All speakers are requested to upload the final version of their presentation slides in PDF format to their contribution page on Indico by 3:00 PM on the day before their presentation. Please ensure that the uploaded file is the final and up-to-date version of the presentation.
A Windows-based conference computer will be provided in each session room and will be used as the primary presentation computer. Presentations should therefore normally be given using the PDF file uploaded to Indico rather than by connecting a personal laptop. This arrangement will help avoid compatibility problems and delays when switching between speakers.
Speakers whose presentations require videos, animations, audio, or other features that cannot be reproduced in PDF format should upload all necessary presentation files to Indico in addition to the PDF version. These files will be downloaded to the conference computer in the session room by the conference staff. Speakers are responsible for checking in advance that their presentation runs properly on the conference computer.
This check should be completed during the coffee break from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM on the day before the presentation. For talks scheduled on the first day of the conference, the check should be completed on the morning of that day and, in all cases, before the start of the relevant session.
A PDF version of the presentation must also be uploaded to Indico as a backup in case the multimedia version cannot be displayed properly on the conference computer.
